Lewis-Palmer High School’s new Ranger Zone

The doors to the new Ranger Zone open and students rushed in, filling the empty seats and seeing the changes that have happened almost overnight. The High Tech space was changed to the Ranger Zone so that students can learn more about the unique history of Lewis-Palmer High School.

Many changes to the High Tech space have been made; some of the changes to the new Ranger Zone include posters detailing Lewis-Palmer High School’s rich and special history and a poster display with pictures and facts about the school’s past.

“I really like the changes made to the Ranger Zone. I think that the school will benefit from having it.” Dylan Turner, 10, said.

Posters date back to the early 1900s, when students were brought to school by buggy, the school house was extremely small and had no electricity. Early in the school’s history, classes only had 10 to 30 students.

“It’s really cool to see how far our school has come. Students used to have to be at school with no electricity or running water.” Garrett Ansted, 10, said.

The new Ranger Zone incorporates the history of our school into an area that is high traffic in hopes that students will learn more about their school’s history.
