Multi-talented, artistic, inventive, these are only a few of the many adjectives one could use to describe Ryan Hunt. Hunt has a wide variety of talents to be proud of but perhaps his most useful skill is the ability to lead a group. As a musician, a member of Drama Club, Student Council, NHS, a link leader and an active participant in the filmmaking community Hunt’s leadership skills often come in handy.

“I really like my leadership skills because it’s really nice to take something on by yourself. It feels good to lead a group because it makes you feel accomplished.” junior Ryan Hunt said.

Ryan Hunt has actually written, produced and directed his very own short film called “Light Me Up.” He claims it is his biggest accomplishment as a filmmaker. The film is approximately 30 minutes long and tells the story of two runaways and their journey to find themselves. Hunt claims he did the funding and wrote the script all by himself.

“Beyonce is my inspiration because she is successful in everything she does, whether it be music, film, or social issues, she is inspirational,” Hunt said.

As a very accomplished singer, songwriter and actress Beyonce Knowles-Carter is a very strong influence for many.

“The world needs more strong and empowered men and women,” Carter said.

If Ryan Hunt isn’t the definition of empowered then I don’t know what is. As one of the candidates for yet another year on student council, it’s quite clear that this determined young man won’t stop until he reaches the top.
