After many years of multiple productions, the theater department of Lewis-Palmer High School, is putting on yet another musical. The name of this musical is, Urinetown. It is a satirical musical that is about a large government corporation that takes over one of humanity’s most essential and basic needs; the ability to go to the bathroom.

The theater director, Jordan Clark, was inspired to put on a performance of Urinetown at Lewis-Palmer because he saw the production in 2003 and it has since been one of his favorites.

“I think it is a fantastic show. It’s really funny and deals with a lot of political and social commentary which kind of pokes fun at the musical genre in a fun way,” Clark said.

Clark is very confident in the casts ability to do what they need to do and learn their lines in time for the play. The theater cast this year is made up of about a total of 64 people.

The musical’s opening night is set for November 14th and will also be shown on November 15th. The cast and crew are looking forward to a great turnout for their amazing production.
