Alessia Cara is a new singer and songwriter that has become very popular due to her album release that includes the single “Here”. She was born in Brampton, Ontario, Canada on July 11th of 1996. Her full name is Caracciolo, but she is known better for her stage name Alessia Cara. Her singing style has been compared to varying artists like Amy Winehouse and Lorde due to the fact that her music is smooth R&B. She started her career in 2009 and is continuing to work on her music at this moment.

Caracciolo started singing around the age of 13 and made a youtube channel called “alealeluia” where she posted covers of songs. She also learned to play guitar around this time and was self taught.

Caracciolo  first album,“Four Pink Walls” debuted on August 28th.  Her album became very popular, mostly because of the song “Here”. The song has a pop punk/ retro type of rhythm to it. It was originally a single but she added it to the album. The song has gone from the top 50 to hot 100 over a course of a week. It was the first and most popular song she released.

In latest news she has debuted a new impressive track called “Scars to Your Beautiful” and she released the song on stage at a “Life is Beautiful” festival in Las Vegas. The song was directed toward girls and young women who feel like they aren’t good/ pretty enough.

Alessia’s music has been said to have a big impact on her fans on how they can relate to the music. They love how the lyrics relate to their personal lives with how she sings about being a pessimist and not being able to relate to everyone else. Being that she has a good chance to become very popular and she might be able to stick around for a while. That is if she can continue to keep her fans attention and support. Given these points her music has had a meaningful impact and her fans and they cannot wait to hear more from her.
