A snowy winter is on its way. Already, cold fronts have been approaching from the west and are cooling down the frosty fall weather. Many would like to jump right to the thermostat and crank up the heat, but here are a few ways to get warm, without spending money on the heat bill.
1. Drink hot beverages; during the cold winter days, one of my favorite ways to get warm is to drink hot beverages such as hot cocoa or a delicious cup of hot herbal tea. Sitting on the couch drinking something hot will melt away all the cold.
2. Snuggle up in a fluffy blanket; another way to stay warm this winter is to wrap up in the fluffiest blanket available. Nothing is better than cuddling up is a warm blanket indoors and away from the freezing November air.
3. Build a fire; if blankets aren’t enough, build a fire in the family fireplace. Doing so, will save on electricity and heating for the entire winter. A fun activity one can do with this fire is to roast marshmallows and make s’mores.
4. Wear a cozy housecoat; while sitting next to the fire that was just built, wrap up in a warm fuzzy housecoat.
A cold winter is well on its way. Keeping warm and safe is very important for the oncoming freeze.
