After suffering a severe concussion that lasted fourteen weeks, Kimmy Loidolt continues to do what she loves. In late September, Kimmy hit her head while stunting causing her to quit cheer and rest her body. After not doing anything for three months, she found a job at Sun dance Studio coaching a cheer team.

“By coaching my team it gave me an opportunity to do what I love but through other people. Sense I could not cheer again, and I still wanted to have cheer apart of my life I decided this was the best option,” sophomore, Kimmy Loidolt said.

Kimmy has so much determination and love for cheer, but she was constantly battling with daily headaches and she was frequently tired. It made it impossible to make it through the two hour practice every day.

“I rarely made it to school and when I did it was never for a full day. The lights and loud noises extenuated my already dreadful headaches. I was always in constant pain and it felt like something was banging on my head at all times,” Loidolt said.

Kimmy continues to coach her team and still hopes that one day she will be able to cheer.
