For anyone excited for the new Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate game, it’s coming to the “3ds”, the “New 3ds”, and the “Wii U”. Capcom has recently had their 10th anniversary and has released a demo for the new game that is coming out Friday, February 13th, 2015, and has all the hunters ready to fight many old and some new monsters in a new way possible. The game is releasing a few weapon class types including the Insect Glaive allowing the hunter easy access to the new feature of mounting the monster. In the demo, it shows the player that the world has been reworked for quick elevation advantages and much easier level maneuvering. Online play has made a comeback because they fixed the error that pushed all online features to local play only, sitting within a few meters from one another, which came from the third installment of the game. There are all new features and the bug fixing.

 

Starting with the demo, the game shows players the two new weapon types including the Insect Glaive and the Charge Blade. th Insect Glaive allows the user to attack at mid-range with the insect which gives the hunter perks like speed-up, attack-up and can also heal you. the user also has a staff which allows for quick but intricate attacks. One of them allows the hunter to do a “bunny hop” which makes it very easy to get on top of the monster. The other new weapon type is the Switch Axe which combines the Hammer, Axe and the Greatsword (all heavy hitters) and puts them all in one weapon type allowing the hunter top adapt for the environment.

 

The maps have received a nice update too, remodeling each one with new obstacles, the hunters and the monsters have new advantages.On the fact that Capcom had its 10th anniversary with monster hunter, many of Capcom’s and Nintendo’s loveable characters like Megaman and Mario can be found as costumes for the assists in the game. Some of the weapons and armor sets have been ported as Nintendo characters like Samus’ and Link’s suits.
