Sunday April 12th was the season five premiere of the HBO hit show Game of Thrones.
Game of Thrones is a fictional show pact with dragons, giants and ghosts, that is spun off of a five book series written by George Martin. The show is filmed in the northern terrain in the beautiful country of Ireland. The story has no real explanation of when or what part of the world its setting is,however, it is best guessed that it takes place in the medieval time frame.
The season five premier picked up right where the previous season ended, with nine noble families fighting for the throne in the kingdom of Kings Landing.
Despite a massive leak and the first four episodes being shown on illegal websites,
the hit show managed to receive record breaking views at over 8 million views on the night of the premier.HBO also managed to raise the shows all around rating heading into season five with 4.2 stars out of 5.
IMDB estimated that the shows viewers are coming from people between the ages sixteen to sixty which expands last years which was twenty-three to sixty.
The show is on HBO every Sunday for the next nine weeks starting at nine o,clock.
