Kanye’s plans and admiration for Trump

Kanye West, an American songwriter, producer, and rapper has been making his rounds on Twitter. Twitter has lately been the center of political drama and Kanye is adding wood to the fire. As of late he has been tweeting a lot of support for Trump and hints of a 2024 presidential run.

Kanye has started his parade of Presidential tweets with a tweet saying, “2024” alluding to a 2024 presidential run. This tweet has been followed by others that show his support for Trump and the right wing. Conservatives like Alex Jones and Bill O’Reilly have welcomed Kanye into the conservative party with open arms. This has lead to a lot of negative press from those in the left wing.

Trump himself has had a positive reaction to the pop star’s tweets. Kanye tweeted “You don’t have to agree with Trump but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.” Trump’s response to the tweet was, “Thank You Kanye very cool!”

Trump later tweeted more support of Kanye stating, “Kanye West has performed a great service to the Black Community – Big things are happening and eyes are being opened for the first time in Decades – Legacy Stuff!”

In later tweets, Kanye has said “When we become president we have to change the name of the plane from Air Force one to Yeezy Force one.” This tweet seems to be a troll more than anything but still has been subjected to more mockery than criticism. The tweet has over time lost its legitimacy as evidence has surfaced that he stole the tweet from Twitter user @eSHEIKH_ whose tweet was, “when Kanye will be President, Air Force will be name Yezzy Force 1.”

Kanye is a rapper after all, and that means fame, fortune, and vanity, a lot of it. Because of this Kanye believes himself to be the poetic intellectual of our time and shows it on twitter. He says such things as “Free thinking is a superpower.” and “Take a walk outside. Fresh air is healing.” Though they are somewhat thought-provoking it doesn’t make him Aristotle. Which means, his tweets about running for president aren’t surprising.

However taking Kanye seriously on whether these tweets are trolls or “promises” can be considered nothing more than a joke. A man as vain as Kayne with no political expertise or experience has no place in the Presidential Office. Besides, Kanye would have to make his way through the Republican party and other conservative rivals that want to run for president.

Therefore, to this extent, this relationship between Kanye West and Donald Trump is adorable and nothing more than a flattering contest between the two. Because of this Kanye has revealed and offered his conservative-leaning, leading to an enormous amount of hate from Democrats. Also, a Kanye West Presidential run is extremely improbable, an American rapper possibly wanting a shot at becoming one of the most powerful men on the planet creates not excitement, but a headache.

However, it’s not impossible; people said that a businessman with no political experience could never win the presidency. Yet Donald Trump is now the United States’ standing President. So who’s to say that Kanye doesn’t have a shot? Though if Kanye were successful, the United States as a nation will hit a new low.
