The annual grand opening of the Haunted Mines in Colorado Springs, Colorado was September 19, 2014. The Haunted Mines is a great way to get together with friends and family for a good scare.

The Haunted Mines is a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to raise money for the Western Museum of Mining and Industry as well as other local charities, while giving the community a good scare.

“I really like how the Haunted Mines can put anyone in the mood for the fall season. It’s a great way to get scared with friends. I went opening night because I just couldn’t wait any more to see what the mines had in store this year,” Max Voshage, 9, said.

“This year we got to the Haunted Mines early to purchase tickets, and it was definitely worth it. Last year I waited two hours to get in, but this year only fifteen minutes .The scariest part was crawling through the tunnels because I never knew what was going to be behind me,” Patrick Haggard, 9, said.

For those who have not had a chance to check out what the Haunted Mines has in store this year feel free to stop in any Friday, Saturday or Sunday during the month of October . Tickets can be purchased either online or any other day at Haunted Mines.
