Religion is one of the strongest leading forces behind a person’s life, whether it be Christianity, Islam or Hinduism. The biggest gift and responsibility of any religion is being able to spread the word and morals of their religion.
Josh Larson 9, is going to do just that. As a faithful Christian, Josh goes to church every Sunday morning instead of staying home and watching football. So going on this mission is certainly a privilege for him and his family.
“My family and I will be going to Indonesia to spread the word of God. I will be gone for three years and will return mid-way through my senior year. I will be attending a school there for kids who are also going on missions in the area. I look forward to not only meeting the locals and giving them God’s wisdom but also to meet other kids that are doing what I am doing.
Although living in a foreign country may seem like a once-of-a-lifetime opportunity for a teenager, sometimes it comes with a price.
“I will miss my friends back in the states so I plan on keeping in touch with them via Facebook and other social media outlets. Although it stinks that I have to leave my friends and ways of life behind in the US I appreciate the chance I have to spread the lord’s wisdom. ” Larsen said.
Josh like many other missionaries, is certainly thrilled having with chance to spread the word of his religion.
