As the weather changes, so will the fashion. This year’s spring clothing will feature color blocking, vintage lace, and high waisted shorts.

Senior Emilie Parker has a uniquely quirky style. She is often dressed in a floral print, pearls, leggings, cute school girl shoes and white socks to add a fashionable touch.

Floral was a fall trend that is carrying into the spring. Floral graphics were seen on the runway and can be found at Forever 21 where many girls are stocking up for spring.

Parker style can be described as “things I find at thrift stores… it’s fun and creative.”

Parker looks forward to wearing high-waisted shorts this spring.  Past trends are also making a comeback with a new twist, such as bright colors or statement jewelry.

Parker looks for teal and burgundy for spring and draws inspiration from actress/musician Zooey Deschanel.

“I try to look as unique as possible,” Parker said.

It is no secret that Colorado weather is unpredictable and wearing appropriate clothing can be a challenge. While others in California are breaking out the shorts, snow days are still expected in Colorado. Parker said she doesn’t care what the temperature is outside; she doesn’t wear pants no matter how cold it gets.

Neons and nudes are turning heads everywhere and makeup companies such as Bobbi Brown have released a line following this bold trend.

Runway trends have been spotted such as lace, classic hippie graphics and colorful blue hues.

With this spring, it’s either soft and girly or bright and bold. Flaunt those floral or rock the bright colors.
