All students, teachers, and staff with a school ID can get 50% off all drinks. Barista Sarah V. said that this promotion was the idea of the store’s owners, Alaine & Carl Nolt.

The purpose of this offer is to raise citizen of Tri-Lakes community’s awareness of Serranos. Employees of the shop said that the store’s sales have risen noticeably since the advertisement started.

“Another purpose of the promotion is to honor the teachers and student of the community,” said Sarah. Students come in often but the mass population is teachers.

“Once people taste our coffee, they can’t go anywhere else,” said Sarah proudly. The hope of the promotion is to create interest in customers so that they return constantly to the store after the sale ends.

Serranos is notorious for its original ‘Caramel Thing’- a pick-me-up with caramel, vanilla, espresso all mixed into steamed milk. With a warm, inviting environment and an outgoing staff, Serranos is sure to have customers returning for more.
