As the thrill of Homecoming 2015 grew, Lewis-Palmer High School students’ display their Ranger pride by dressing up in their best costumes and clothes for homecoming week. The spirit week presented Lewis-Palmer with; Camo Day on Monday, Cops Vs. Robbers on Tuesday ,Senior SWAG and 80’s Day on Wednesday, followed by Day At The Zoo on Thursday and finally an all out Ranger Day on Friday.

Cade Burdett , 12, Jacob Rucker , 12, and Zach Wearsckey , 11, are all new students at Lewis-Palmer who participated in spirit week.

They had all dressed up in bright sweaters and colorful headbands for 80’s day, but they had also been apart of the other spirit days.

“The other days, we dressed up for also,  but 80’s day was the funnest,” Burdett said.

“80’s day was the favorite for the group.”

“Those were the coolest outfits,” Wearsckey said. “It was fun dressing up with all my friends.”

80’s day also brought Senior SWAG. Allyson Malloy ,12, was in the SWAG group of Sith Lords vs. Jedi Knights. The girls were dressed in all black, boots and Sith makeup, while the guys were clad in fluffy Jedi bathrobes. Red, blue and green lightsabers were being wielded by the entire group.

“We got together at five in the morning. Devyn Richie, 12, did all the makeup on the girls, and we accumulated our costumes on the week before SWAG,” Malloy said.

The group loved what they did so much, they had a few light saber battles along the way. The boys even offered to make bacon and pancakes for everyone.

“We’re all pretty good friends, so the experience was stress free and fun. I even had a bluetooth speaker. So I put it in my R2D2 backpack and we played the Star Wars theme song as we walked into school,” Malloy said. “The experience was super low key and so much fun.”
