Kevin Tims warms up before the game.

Ryan Sacatelli, Ranger Review Reporter

Kevin Tims, 11, is the varsity quarterback here at Lewis-Palmer High School. Kevin has been playing football since the third grade and has a prolonged passion for the game. He is a natural leader and his goal is to take each game one at a time.

Kevin always stresses to his team to play within themselves and focus on every play. As the quarterback, Kevin always makes sure to protect the ball and, above all, score.

To contribute on offense, Kevin has to be calm and relaxed. He focuses on keeping the ball moving and making the best decisions in any situation.

“Everyone is nervous in the beginning of the game, but as you get a few plays in the nerves start to go away.”

As a junior, Kevin is thinking about his post high school plans. He is still unsure about playing college football but it is something he is still considering.

“I have always wanted to play a sport in college. It’s just I have to keep performing well enough.”

Kevin is considering to play football or baseball in college; however, he still has a couple seasons yet to play at Lewis-Palmer.
