Insidious chapter 2, directed by James Wan, is a continuation of the first Insidious.  It starts out by going back into the childhood of the father of the child that was possessed in the first movie.   It shows that Elise, the spirit destroyer from the first movie, took videos of the people possessed in every case she investigated.

After it shows Elise meeting with the father, Josh, as a child, it goes back to modern time.  Josh and his mother start to have problems, so she starts to realize that they didn’t end the haunting of the spirits when Josh went into the spirit world to get his son back from the spirit that possessed him in the first movie.

Later on that same day, the mother saw a spirit wandering around her house, which causes everyone in the theatre to gasp, including myself.  She then confronted her son and told him that she knew there was a spirit there and that it wasn’t over.  He freaked out after hearing that and told her to be quiet because she was going to scare his family.

Eventually the wife and son of Josh started seeing the same lady. Later on in the movie the audience finds out who the lady is, that the father is being possessed once again and who possesses him. Once they figure that out, the son goes into the spirit world to find his father, just like his father went into find him in the first movie.

I was really amazed by this movie. In order to understand the second chapter, one may have to see the first movie because it referenced the first one a lot. The ending was quite astounding and had every one leaving with a happy feeling.
